OpenEclair 1.2.2 Released

A new version  of OpenEclair has been release for public consumption.  I don't have any real details about the contents of the new release.  I'm guessing it was a late night release and no one has updated the forum thread yet. OpenEclair v1.2.1 Released. Now Official support on AndroidSPIN.

The OpenAndroidTeam has released an update to the OpenEclair ROM taking it to version 1.2.1. You now have many ways to get support and downloads for OpenEclair, including: OpenEclair.org domain or the OFFICIAL OpenEclair Support forums on AndroidSPIN. OpenEclair Updated to v1.1.5

The OpenAndroidTeam has released an update to the OpenEclair ROM and it even includes the Multi-Touch Google Maps from the Nexus one. v1.1.5 includes: OpenEclair v1.1.5 - No Wipe - Kernel: CPU Frequency modifications by Eugene - Kernel: Overclocked to 580MHz by default. - Kernel: Bug fixes from Nexus One MSM Kernel - Compcache: Upgraded to v0.6.2 - Added MT Maps from Nexus One update - Dalvik Changes (JIT is extremely unstable, switched to donut dalvik for now) - Firstboot script changes - Issues w/ disappearing icons should be gone. - first boot will take very long time Download The Latest Version Here We also created a specific OpenEclair Beta Only thread on AndroidSPIN.

OpenAndroidTeam Releases OpenEclair Beta v1.1.4 and more..

It's only been a couple of weeks since Chris Soyar's decided it was time to try and get the community together and work on a community ROM.  The first goal of this team is to create the best Eclair ROM available.  The outcome was OpenEclair and the OpenAndroidTeam and it hasn't stopped since. I'm hoping that I had something to do with this de-fragmentation of the developer communityand I'm working closely with the team to help get organizaed and continue this team spirit into future projects. OpenEclair Version 1.1.1 STABLE has been released

OpenEclair Version 1.1.1 STABLE has been released.  Many people have been reporting FC's, problems with the Android Market and keyboard issues, as well as problems with the live wallpapers.  Too many bugs had been reported so the team has reverted back the JIT.  It also appears that they have removed all the wallpapers except 1. OpenEclair Version 1.1 STABLE is out and ready for download.  Most if not all of the major bugs have been worked out and I can say that it seems fast during my initial testing. OpenEclair Version 1.1 release candidate 1 is out and about and ready for download.  The release candidate currently does not have a working camera but that should be fixed real soon. WesGarner WG-Donut Y-2.6 OpenEclair Beta Released

WesGarner has released another update to his WG-DOnut ROM. Wes Garner’s WG-Build Y-2.6 – The Speeding Donut Released

For his final update to the donut based ROM's, Wes Garner has finally released Y-2.6. This build is based off of Cyanogen's builds, and using a custom kernal that Wes made from scratch. Next release will be based on Eclair. DELL: Android-Based Mini 3 Smartphone Coming to the United States with AT&T

Today Dell confirmed their plans to offer an Android-based Mini 3 through AT&T. It will be one of the first Android-based smartphones to run on their 3G network. AT&T will announce the Mini 3 in the U.S. the first half of 2010. They will share more details about the phone itself when it gets closer to availability. Motorola Backflip officially released

So the Motorola Motus gets officially christened as the Backflip. Motorola has named it Backflip due to its ability to reverse flip to use phone in different ways. The phone runs Android 1.5 (upgradable to Android 2.x) and boasts Motorola’s acclaimed MotoBlur UI. Backflip comes with a 3.1-inch HVGA touchscreen but you can reverse-flip to show QWERTY keyboards and Backtrack, a touch panel at the back for easier scrolling. Additionally, the phone has 3G, Wi-Fi, 5MP camera, full HTML browser, Bluetooth and GPS. I just can't help myself tonight.  It's been a while since I got a chance to actually flash and play with new ROMs but tonight I've been flashing crazy.
