Enomther’s TheOfficial DONUT TMO, ADP, AOSP updated to v2.6.2

Monday, March 8th, 2010

Enomther's TheOfficial Donut ROM has been updated to v2.6.2. This build has been around for quite a while, and has always been a great build for users looking for a simple rooted build, with a few extras. Prior to this past release (v2.6.1) users were looking at a fairly stock Android build after install, until they used the "expsetup" app in terminal, which allowed for more customization of built-in apps, CPU frequencies & scaling, and swap options. With the introduction of this past version (v2.6.1), Enomther has introduced a new setup wizard, code-named "GUSTO" (Gui To Set-up TheOfficial), which almost entirely replaces the options ...

Introduction: This is my personal Rom, made by me for me... But I think you might be interested. At the moment there is nothing that`s faster than SuperCSDIv4. Pure speed... And the ...

MoDaCo has released another version of the Desire Custom ROM for the HTC/Google Nexus One.  Alpha 12 is the latest release and I have to say it's running very very nice.  One majot issue I'm seeing right now is the battery life drains very quickly.  There are a coupe of small issues, like the Flash sometimes goes off out of sync with the camera but nothing major. I'm running as my daily ROM right now to give it a good test. Changelog Alpha 12 Now includes Teknologist`s TCK 0.7. This is based on the official .33 repositories, with only minor ...

5 Star Review: NexusMod Live Wallpaper by Chris Soyars

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

This new live wallpaper by Chris Soyars is available in the Android Market now. It is a modified version of the stock Nexus One live wallpaper. With the help of Cyanogen, who offered his genius for bug fixes and such, Chris has released one of the sexiest live wallpapers thus far. He has included an optional darker background and 6 vibrant colorschemes to choose from: Dust (above right and my personal favorite), Nexus, SexyNexus (above center), CyanogenMod (above left), Candy and Zion. It runs incredibly smooth with no force closes or lag. This isn't just for Nexus One owners. It ...

BenBuchacher of SuperD now has a Super Site

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

It seems to be a trend lately that developers are starting to create their own web sites.  BenBuchacher of SuperD fame has joined the ranks of self publication amd created a SuperD / SuperE web site.  Nicely designed and easy to read, you can find the latest info and his own blog. He's integrated his Twitter feed and release information from AndroidSPIN too. Give him your support and head over to www.benbuchacher.com now. What's your thoughts on developer web sites?  More sources for you to check?  Don't worry, AndroidSPIN will still be your central source for everything.

Review of KiNgxKxKlair Eclair Hero Version 1.3

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010
Home page

I have been looking forward to adding a new version of Hero based off of Éclair on my phone for a while. I decided to try KingKlicks latest ROM, can't go wrong with that! When I first booted on the phone, I had a few force closes. This wouldn't discourage me just yet. After battling through the initial setup screens, and allowing the phone to settle a bit, things did pick up. There were a few more force closes, along with issues with a few apps downloaded from the Market too. Also, the battery doesn't last me a full day. This ...

Linpack Wars – Battle of the Androids…update and more

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

The boys have done it again and the Nexus One, more specifically, TheDudesAndroid's JP1, is moving up the Linpack Android Top 10. For the past few days, certain members of the Android development community have been pushing the limits of the Nexus One to see just how super this "superphone" is. During their first round of attempts, the JP1 made it to the #10 spot with a Mflops score of 22.186. Yesterday, Android developer Chris Soyars blogged about their most recent victory: the JP1 has rested it's tired feet in the #7 spot knocking a few Droids down the charts and tying ...
