Location Service Failure on 3G
Wednesday, September 30th, 2009I've spent a few days trying to a fix a problem that I though was ROM related and as it turns out, it's T-Mobile related.A few days ago I started connecting at 3G speeds, which is new for our area. I relaized a couple of days later that my location service would sometimes work and sometimes not. Friday, September 25th, 2009So I guess Google had decided to continue enforcing it's might on the Android developer community and prevent Cyaongen from continuing his work on the excellent CyanogenMOD.Google released a statement on the Androd Developer site Blog site saying: A Note on Google Apps for Android Posted by Dan Morrill on 25 September 2009 at 2:31 PM Lately we've been busy bees ...
The Android Open Source Mystery!

Is the Android Market application the cause of Googles anger or is it something else?Maybe we need to look at the contents of any builds available in the Android community and work out what is covered under the open source licenses and what is not. I can understand that there maybe some proprietary applications but why would something that just helps to promote the Android Operating System be stopped ...
Cyanogen / Google Update – Waiting for lawyers
Friday, September 25th, 2009I just spoke briefly with Cyaongen and he said:I don’t really want to talk about it much right now.. I’m talking with their PR counsel and hopefully we can sort this out.The issues raised was that I specifically target google-experienced devices, and asked it if was considered redistribution since these devices are already licensed for the apps.Yeah, lawyers are taking their time, they said it’s being discussed internally and I should have an answer soon. Hope all goes well Cyanogen. We are all with ya!
